As a school, as a community, and as the staff of The Denisonian, we would like to offer our condolences to the family and friends of David Hallman. His contributions to campus have been made clear over the past few days, and his loss has been keenly felt.
It is remarkable to hear and read the stories of David’s impact. His 21 years scarcely seem enough for him to have touched so many people. His legacy is left in the hearts and minds of his family and friends.
Our community has come together, only because we all feel the absence of a remarkable man. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who are suffering during this time, and for all who feel his loss.
It’s important to remember him, and to cherish him, and his life, and people like him.
There were no famous last words, no final thought. Losing him so early was tragic, and makes his memory seem piercingly, vividly human.
We ask that you seek out support as each of us deals with the loss of David in our own way. We are thinking about the family and friends of David through this difficult time.
