Denison’s American Roots Bluegrass Ensemble, coordinated by Professor Adam Schlenker, held its annual Bluegrass Festival on February 18 and 19th, featuring The Price Sisters and Mile Twelve as special guests.

Following an afternoon of interactive music workshops with Mile Twelve and Columbus residents on Saturday, the American Roots ensemble performed several songs before welcoming Mile Twelve to the stage on Saturday

Members of Mile Twelve include Catherine “BB” Bowness (Banjo), Nate Sabat (Bass and Vocals), Evan Murphy (Guitar and Vocals), Ella Jordan (Fiddle and Vocals), and Korey Brodsky (Mandolin). This was the group’s first live performance of 2022.

Mile Twelve performed several songs from their upcoming album, which will be the first new music they have released since the start of the pandemic, as well as some of their older songs and covers of traditional Bluegrass tunes.
