The 2023 Academic Awards Convocation, which recognizes and honors outstanding achievements by faculty and students, took place on April 14 in Swasey Chapel.
Faculty honorees included Professors Diana Adesola Mafe, Dan Homan and Ching-chu Hu.
Many students were recognized for fellowships they received and academic excellence awards, and many were also inducted as new junior and senior members of Phi Beta Kappa, the most prestigious academic honor society in the U.S.
The Presidential Medal, the most prestigious honor a Denison student can receive, was awarded to eight students for their academic excellence, athletic and/or artistic contributions, leadership and service to the Denison community.
