Every year, the Asian Culture Club (ACC) hosts an annual dinner. This year, the food of choice was Korean. It was $8 per ticket at the event. All proceeds were collected for donations.
At the end of the night, $1,166.17 was raised for Moseulpo Educational Center in Jeju Island, South Korea. The funds will help children from under-resourced environments such as multicultural backgrounds and single-parent households.
Members of DKDG, Denison’s first-ever student K-Pop Dance Group, performed at the dinner.
Jack Agrasuta ’19 decided to hold ACC’s first Thai Dinner with the help of other club members in 2016. The first Thai Dinner donated $500 to Banbuwittayasan school, located in a rural area of Buriram province, Thailand. In 2018, ACC hosted its second-ever Thai Dinner, raising $1,000 for the school’s scholarship fund as previously reported by The Denisonian.
