Three women’s rugby members will travel to Florida

On February 20, three girls from the Denison Women’s Rugby Team will travel to St. Petersburg, Florida to participate in travel games.

Representing Denison will be Callie Pace ’18, Ja’lia Sheppard ’19 and Kendall Caraballo ’19.

Coach Garrett Fisher of Denison is also the coach of the U-19 Thunderbirds All Midwest Select Team, who is hosting the tournament.

Last summer there was a summer camp at Denison which is how the girls from Denison were selected to participate in the tournament.

According to Captain Hannah Roodhouse, the spring will be a building season for the Big Red.

Following their success in the fall, they will continue to train and host three or four games this spring.

During spring break, Denison Women’s Rugby will be in Savannah, Georgia to train and play.
