AARON SKUBBY, Asst. News Editor—The following information is based on from the Granville Police Department incident report filed by The Denisonian.
Campus Safety called the Granville Police Department to report a suspicious package On the morning of November 2, 2019.
The incident report states that Campus Safety requested a police department officer to “meet them in the parking lot of Moon Hall,” to pick up the suspicious package, according to the incident report.
The call was made at 8:30 a.m., and at 8:52 a.m., a Granville Police Department Officer arrived on the scene.
According to the incident report, at 9:09 a.m. “Officer Kaffenbarger advised that he picked up a suspicious package from the parking lot.”
At 9:43 a.m. he planned to place the package into evidence and cleared the scene.
The incident report did not disclose the contents of the package. Campus Safety is not highly concerned about the contents of the package — allegedly appearing as white powder — as the estimated amount would be valued in the tens of thousands and unlikely to be in possession of a Denison community member.
The Denisonian has requested more information from the Granville Police Department.
